Healthy Diet
How many times have we heard “Change
your diet”, or “Eat healthy food”, or “You really should have a
healthy diet”. But what is it a healthy diet?
To maintain health and cure disease
it is of great importance to understand the use foods and drinks.
Today many people view food as a source of energy with no
relationship to their health. Natural medicine knows the importance
of good foods and its role in keeping health.
Hippocrates, who is sometimes called the ‘Father of Medicine’,
wrote,
“Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food”.
The Chinese people clearly saw this
relationship when they wrote,
“Whatsoever was the father of disease, an ill diet was the mother”.
The Prophet Muhammad said,
“The stomach is the home of disease, diet is the main medicine”.
Avicenna (Ibn Sina), a great Arabian
physician and scholar, wrote a thousand years ago,
“Most illnesses arise solely from long continued errors of diet and
regimen".
Our bodies are in a big parts result of what foods we are eating,
how we combine the foods, how these foods are prepared and how the
waste products are excreted. In most cases a correct change in diet
can drastically improve our health condition.
In this section we’re addressing some diets, and their affects on
our health. However, if you’re considering changing your diet you
should consult a nutritionist and get a customized diet for your
